Alma Šećerbegović received a doctoral degree from the University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 2018. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Tuzla, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Her research includes biomedical signal processing, non-contact physiological parameter extraction, and algorithms for signal and data analysis. Alma Šećerbegović published two professional national books, conference, and journal papers, and participated in different research projects. She has worked on developing graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of telecommunications, Internet of things, Web, and mobile applications. She is a founder of the NGO "GirlTHing" with the main goal to encourage girls to find a career in the ICT domain.
