Petar NIKOLIĆ

Master of plant protection by profession. He completed his undergraduate and master's studies at the Faculty of Agriculture in Banja Luka. Employed at the Faculty of Agriculture as a senior laboratory assistant, while at the Institute for Genetic Resources he holds the title of researcher-senior associate. He is engaged in scientific research in the fields of nematology and entomology, especially wild bees. In the fields of biodiversity, integrated plant protection and phytosanitary control, he underwent number of trainings in Serbia, Greece, Sweden, Malta, Belgium and Italy. In recent years, he has been actively engaged in project management. Independently and/or as part of a team, developed and successfully implemented several projects in the field of agriculture, processing of agricultural products and the leather and footwear industry within the invitation of EU4Agri, EU4AgriRecovery, EU4Business, Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and others. At the same time, he is a member of development and scientific research projects at the Faculty of Agriculture and the Institute for Genetic Resources of the University of Banja Luka, such as: VIRAL - Vitalising ICT Relevance in Agricultural Learning, Agripreneur and others. He is a member of the BOLD community of young leaders of BiH and the winner of three grants from the US Embassy in Sarajevo for the projects "Growing Together", "Growing Together - Upgrading" and "BON TON Camping Zone", which makes him one of the most successful young project coordinators within the BOLD network. Awarded by the Association of Innovators of the Republika Srpska with the Golden Plaque for the best innovation in 2022 for the designed "School of Basic Life Skills''.
